Today we hit a big milestone at the Atlanta Tech Village: 1,000 active members. Ever since buying the building a little over three years ago, I never thought we’d have 1,000 members. 700 or 800 sure, but 1,000 — that seemed crazy. Here are a few thoughts on the 1,000 member milestone:
- Our long term goal remains the same: create 1,000 new jobs in three years and 10,000 new jobs in 10 years from companies that previously called the Tech Village home
- Membership numbers are less important than having four companies per year raise money at a $10M+ valuation and four companies per year graduate (success stories are what matters, not membership count)
- Membership scale does bring great benefits like having a critical mass for internship fairs, events like the Holiday Showcase, and huge pitch programs like the Startup Village
- Membership scale also lets us build communities within communities like the Village Verified program and the 7 Figure Club
Finally, our amazing Tech Village team makes it all possible. Thank you.
Congratulations David and ATV team!
Congratulations David & team!! That’s quite an accomplishment. I was just talking up the ATV with several bay area VC guys at a UC&C show.
Congratulations David and ATV! I remembering being there the first month you opened. It’s amazing to see what a like minded community can do!
